This is me, Ryan Hilligoss, with my two beautiful kids, Graham Ronald Hilligoss and Aurora Rose Hilligoss. Graham was named after Graham Greene the actor and Graham Greene the author, two of my favorite artists, and Ronald is for my uncle Ronald Eugene Hilligoss who passed away in 1999. Aurora was named after one of my favorite literary and cinematic characters, Aurora Greenway, portrayed by Shirley Mclaine, in Terms of Endearment, which was written by Larry McMurtry. Taking the picture is my beautiful, patient and understanding wife Kimberly Rae Renner Hilligoss. The title of my blog is taken after the address of Sun Studio, 706 Union Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee where rock and roll was born with Sam Phillips recording the likes of Jackie Breston, Howlin Wolf, BB King, Rufus Thomas, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Charlie Rich, and of course, Elvis Presley. As you can see in my blogs, I love Elvis and Bruce Springsteen. I also love a lot more musical artists such as James McMurtry, Miles Davis, Chuck Berry and Willie Nelson and everyone in between, as well as the writers Larry McMurtry, Kurt Vonnegut, and Hunter Thompson to name a few.
